WELCOME TO THE STATION ANGUS, YARROWITCH
Established in 2022, The Station Angus is owned and operated by myself, Alan Scrivener, my wife Megan, and our children Mitch, Emily and Austin. Situated in the fertile Yarrowitch Valley (New England, NSW) at an elevation of 950m, our properties are ideal for growing outstanding pastures and in turn producing easy doing, quality stock.
For over 25 years we have run a successful commercial herd, winning numerous MSA awards for meat eating quality. In the last ten years we have bred impressive show steers and heifers, claiming Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons at events such as Wingham Beef Week and the Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza in Scone.
Offering affordable bulls for the discerning commercial breeder, The Station Angus will base its genetics from my parents' stud – Bonny Brooke Angus – to create an exciting, new generation of quality Angus bulls. With carefully selected sires, we focus on breeding bulls that produce progeny with the potential to meet the highest eating quality standards.
PROPERTY HISTORY
MARATHON – 630 acres
'Marathon' is the site of the original Yarrowitch Station homestead. In 1948 the NSW Department of Lands purchased the Station under the Lands Settlement Act and divided it into seventeen blocks, which were then balloted to returned soldiers.
In the 1950's the Goodridge family purchased the block, renaming it 'Marathon'. After the original homestead burnt down in 1960, they constructed a new dwelling on the old stone foundations which still stands today. We purchased and relocated to the property in 2005.

SPRINGVALE – 1,050 acres
In 1980 Bruce and Helen Scrivener purchased 'Springvale', a beautiful undulating property nestled along the western edge of the valley.
We became the new owners of 'Springvale' in late 2021 and look forward to working and managing this land as part of The Station Angus.
Pasture improved and watered with numerous dams, 'Springvale' is the perfect breeding ground for our herd.
OUR BRAND – E.S. BAR
Our brand has over 100 years of Scrivener family history. This brand belonged to my grandfather, Eric 'Tod' Scrivener (1898 – 1987), who spent a lifetime in the bush as a stockman in the Upper Manning Valley.
